Clare and Isaac had a face-off.

 They stared at each other for a few seconds...

 ...then Clare got distracted...

 ...then Isaac got bored...

 ...then the moment was lost.

It was fun while it lasted.

February 9-11-13

It has been a fun month.

On February 9th, Isaac was 3-months-old.

 We can't believe how big he's getting, 

and how expressive he is with his smiles and gurgles.

 He's a good sleeper, a good eater,

and an all-around happy boy.

I love my little hulk.

On February 13th, Clare turned 2 1/2 years-old.

She is FULL of energy and adventure.

She loves balloons, bubbles, Veggie Tales, Curious George, dance parties, singing all sorts of songs, playing outside, going to Busch Gardens and the park, and eating anything sweet (namely licorice, cookies, cake, and suckers).  She makes us laugh EVERY day!

Sandwiched right in between February 9th and February 13th was 

February 11th...my 30th Birthday!

 My sweet husband planned a birthday weekend that I will never forget.

Ever since college, I have been a Bebo Norman fan.  I would even go as far to say that he is my favorite solo artist  He is a Christian musician, and I've seen him in concert a few times.  Well, he happened to have a concert on February 11th...in Louisville, Kentucky.  Phil secretly arranged for us to head to Kentucky, go to the concert, AND have a private meeting with Bebo before the concert.  WOW!  We enjoyed chatting with him for about fifteen minutes, and it was a really neat experience.

 Then we enjoyed the concert from the VERY FRONT ROW.

It was a very special weekend!

We were also able to connect with Abi, one of my high school friends, who now lives in Louisville.  Keep your eye out for her...she's an up and coming actress.  :)  She's been in a few commercials and she even had a part in a film that's due to release sometime this year.

Needless to say, my 30th Birthday was unforgettable!

Once again...you've out-done yourself.

Husband of the Year

Earlier this week, my "sweet" husband made Marshmallow pancakes (yes, pancakes oozing with melted Marshmallows) for our marshmallow-obsessed 2.5 year old.  Then he went to work and left me with the sugar rush/crash that followed.  Thanks, Hubby.  Thanks!

Phil is BACK in the running for HUSBAND OF THE YEAR!

 I was at a Discovery Toy event yesterday, 

and this is what I found upon returning home.

 My SWEET husband was mopping the ENTIRE house...

with a 3-month-old strapped to his chest.

I've never seen anything better looking than that.  :)
