Naked Buns

Our little ones have a few things in common:
They LOVE the water and playing in the pool.
They giggle with delight upon "touching the sky."
They think their Daddy is the greatest guy in the world!

They could eat pasta for every meal.

They prefer being "naked buns" to any other attire.
I edited the full shot, but it was a classic!

Triple Threat

I had to take lessons to learn how to play the piano.
To some, it come naturally.
Clare's rendition of "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"

Not only does she have mad singing and piano skills,
but she (AND HER BROTHER) can also cut some serious rug.
Does this make her a triple threat???
Check out Isaac's (and apparently "Bob and Larry's")
rhythm and moves throughout the clip.

Bedtime Excuses

These are some of the excuses Clare has given us upon coming out of her room
when she's supposed to be sleeping:
- "Bob and Larry told me to."
- "I think I heard thunder or fireworks."
- "I need you to cut the tag off my _________"
(fill-in-the-blank for any item that still has tags).
- I need to help Isaac eat his Cheerios."
"I need to wash my finger because I just touched my bottom."
 "My legs itch."
(This is probably the only valid excuse we've heard...
as you can see from the pictures below).
Her sweet little legs were attacked,
and she itched them until they were swollen and totally enraged.

Drum Roll....I think this is my current favorite:
"I just sneezed, and my room is all wet."

10-Month Update

My handsome little man was 10-months old on Friday.
I can hardly stand the fact that he's much closer to being a toddler than a baby.
He has such a gentle nature, and he's definitely on his own schedule.  Unlike his firstborn sister, he naps on the go, only wears shoes when absolutely necessary,
and totally goes with the flow.
He was a bit sick last week, and he ended up in Urgent Care with a fever of nearly 104 degrees.  When his eyes turned glossy, and his limbs went weak, Mama was pretty scared.  Thankfully, it was just a nasty virus, and it got over it pretty quickly.
He's not walking, but he LOVES standing up.  He pulls himself up wherever possible, and he loves playing with/like his sister.
For the most part, they get along VERY WELL.
They have a mutual admiration for one another,
and seem happiest when in each other's presence.

But this picture gives us a taste of what's to come.
Clare is delighted about something that is devastating to her little brother.
Isaac currently LOVES:
~ Bananas
~ Melon
~ Cheerios
~ The Pool
~ The Swing
~ Clare
~ Army Crawling
~ Standing
~ Touchy-Feely Books
~ THE REMOTE CONTROL
Isaac Currently Dislikes:
~ Being away from Mommy
(Separation anxiety has reared its ugly head.)
~ Sleeping through the night
(What's up with that?!)
~ "Crying It Out"
(Mommy and Daddy's solution to aforementioned dislike)
~ Getting His Diaper Changed
(He's a little twisty bug.)
~ Soap in his eyes
(Can you blame him?)
It's hard to believe that our little man is nearly ONE, but it's also hard to believe how much our love for him has grown over the last ten months.

Pretty in Pink

Something that I haven't said recently (although I think it DAILY)...
"My husband is an amazing Daddy!"
Something I don't think I've ever said,
"My husband looks pretty in pink."  :)
He let Clare paint both hands...
one in HOT PINK and the other in BRIGHT PURPLE!
 What a good sport!
 Just his color...
don't you think?!

Toilet Paper and Toddlers

Here's Isaac...at 9.5 months...
...and Clare at 9.5 months.
Totally delighted with the discovery...
...and proud of the accomplishment of unraveling an entire roll.
What good is a roll of toilet paper on the floor???
Sampling is part of the fun.
And photos are part of the routine.

Roller Coaster Debut

Clare rode her first roller coaster this week,
and boy was she EXCITED!
Phil and I made the mistake of telling her when she was tall enough to go on the roller coaster at Busch Gardens (a long awaited adventure), so she started asking EVERY DAY when she got to go.  Her new introduction (to complete strangers) was, "I'm three and I get to go on the roller coaster at Busch Gardens tomorrow."
After several tomorrows, her wish came true!
We rode the Grover Coaster three times, and she loved it every time.

There were several other attractions of the day:
Big Bird and Laney Grace
Isaac was absolutely enamored with Big Bird...
and his adopted Grandma for the day (Courtney's Mom, Robin).
Bubba...the gigantic tortoise was another hit!
Seeing Daddy was MY highlight of the day...
although the kiddos had their eyes on something else.
Mr. Mike and the baby alligator also topped the list.
I think that Clare would have brought that little guy home with us...
if it had been up to her.
I, on the other hand, was happy to leave him back with Mike.
As always, the Elmo show was a hit.
I was surprised to see how much Isaac loved it.
I was glad that we were able to enjoy the fun day with our dear friends.
Courtney did a terrific post, with different pictures and video.
