Putt-Putt at Buccaneers Booty

During our Delaware vacation, the two younger couples went out for a Putt-Putt Challenge.

Interestingly enough, the order in which we scored Holes-in-One was also the order in which we placed.   Who knew I was such a putter???

Not only was I the golf champ,

Check out the common theme in the next three pictures...

The Hillary's ended up victorious!

Why else would I post such an event???

A Day in Delaware!

For the last 30 years, my family has vacationed in Delaware.

You may think, what's in Delaware???

Beach, Sunshine, Family, Ice Cream, and years worth of TRADITION!

Our happy little family!

Ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery

My Grandpa and Grandma Durham were buried at Arlington National Cemetery last Friday, July 16, 2010.  As a captain in the Navy, my grandpa received full military honors.  My sister made this short video which captures the amazing ceremony.

Great Falls, Virginia

We've been out of Florida for the past week, and it's been GREAT!

After attending my grandpa's funeral at Arlington National Cemetery (post to come), we enjoyed some of the local sights in Virginia...including Great Falls Park.

The waterfalls were amazing.

Even with the intense heat, we enjoyed some time outside.

Here's the "Durham" gang...with a few Hillarys and a Skazalski.

A day wouldn't be complete without Clare touching the sky.

Doesn't it kind of look like Phil's throwing her into the falls?

All smiles!  :)

Happy to be OUT of the car!

Our little Cheese Ball!!!

Anytime Clare is in the middle of two hands, she says,

"1...2...3" and waits for her free flight.  :)

The Hillary 3.5

There are HUNDREDS of pictures from the last week, but my blogging will likely be sporadic over the next few days.

Recent Joys

The days have been FULL,

and the schedule has been busy, BUT

WE ARE BLESSED!

Clare Bear Hugs!

My sister, Ann, was in town for a few days.

I LOVED having her here.

Clare may have loved it even more.

Check out a glimpse of the fun they had at Ann's blog.

My dear Clare finds joy in all the little things:

Eating cereal RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!

Waking up to find Ninnie (Auntie Ann) in the car with us.

Hugging teddy bears.

Playing dress up!

Dipping freshly caught (by our very own hands) bay scallops into peach yogurt.  Yes, you read that correctly.

"Smelling" the flowers.

Gigantic popsicles on HOT Florida days.

Eating Dum-Dums while out on a walk.

Letting our suckers "kiss."

She seriously LOVES that!

Reading with Mama!

Stepping on the BIG SCALE at Publix.

What a life!  :)

Hostage Situation!

3 years down...MANY MORE to go!!!

On 07.07.07, I married my best friend!

I couldn't ask for more in a husband,

and I look forward to MANY MORE years together!

22 Weeks and I can't see my toes...

Feeling GREAT!

22-weeks along means only 18-weeks to go!

Current cravings: peanuts, crackers with peanut butter, Corn Nuts (especially BBQ flavored), chips with guacamole, and grapes.

As I look at that list, I realize that they are nearly all salty items.

Hmmm...it must be a boy!  :)

This is 22-weeks with Clare.              This is 22-weeks with Jethro.

NO, Jethro is NOT his real name.  My parents like to give the baby a name by which to call him during pregnancy.  With Clare, it was Gertrude.  With #2, it's Jethro.  The name will be announced when he makes his grand appearance.

Play dough

How have I gone the last two years without thinking about Play dough.

What kind of mother am I?

Thankfully, Keith and Wendy showed us the light,

and Clare's life will never be the same!

They gave Clare a Play dough set for her birthday,

and she was THRILLED!

Thanks Uncle Keith!!!

Thanks Aunt Wendy!!!

Gee...do you think she likes it??

Daddy had to get in on the action.

The cousins, and Phil, enjoyed creating all sorts of Play dough wonders.

Clare received this a little over a week ago, and she has played with it EVERY SINGLE DAY since then.

Like I said, her world will never be the same.
