Baby Barrettes

As you can see, barrettes have made their way into our home. After months of banishment, Phil finally turned a corner and realized how cute and functional they are for our hairy little peanut. In the last two days, we've had to pry a stray barrette out of Clare's mouth. Therein lies our quandary! How can we continue using the barrettes without creating a choking hazard?
P.S. Thanks for this adorable outfit, Rachel and Mandy! We LOVE it!

Yea Phil! What's not to love about adorable little clips on an adorable little girl!

Buy hair clips that are mostly fabric; they will put them in their mouth only momentarily and cannot swallow them... we learned the hard way :) Yes, 1.5" barrettes DO pass through a two year old's insides.

Cloth barrettes are the fix. Also, as she gets more hair, there are great little no pull elastic ties. We have them in clear. I then cover them with a fabric bow.

Good luck!

Yes, super cute in her hair! I'm glad Phil finally came around. : ) Let me know if you find a safe barrette for her.
