Halloween Happenings

Halloween was a few days ago, but we're still recovering from all the pumpkins, parties, and SUGAR!

Clare was a cowgirl for a couple of parties this year.
Her hat lit up, and she had pink boots.  What more could a girl ask for?!

Papa had his three buddies.
What more could a Grandpa ask for?!

Isaac and a bucket full of candy.
What more could an almost-3-year-old ask for?!

Cuddled in Mommy's arms (and waving or high-fiving in his sleep).
What more could a 2-week-old ask for?

Corrie with her smiling kiddos.
What more could a Mama ask for?!

One of our annual Halloween traditions is attending the Trunk-Or-Treat festivities at First United Methodist Church.
The kids have a blast, and they make quite a haul.

This little moment brought back a flood of memories.  I loved watching the kids compare their loot, trade for their favorites, and beg to eat "just one more."

The inflatables were a hit...especially with sugar coursing through their veins.

Halloween Morning...complete with Pumpkin Pancakes!

Clare was a cowgirl at her school party as well.

Her school sets up several outdoor activities,
and they travel as a class from one game to the next.

Clare's Kindergarten Class...
The only girl amongst a bunch of "silly boys."

Phil with a tractor...a trailer...and some straw.
What more could a big boy want?!

Phil excitedly set up a hayride for trick-or-treating in the neighborhood.

The kids were THRILLED!
Myles really couldn't have cared less, but at least he was safe and snuggly.

Happy Family

On the actual night of Halloween, Clare wanted to be Pippi Longstocking.

We crafted a costume out of random things at home, and she loved it.

Isaac didn't care about his costume as long as he had his pumpkin!

Myles was along for the ride...
The poor little guy was roasting because it was still in the upper-80's, and we had him in a fleece sleeper.  Halloween in Florida!  :)

Until next year...

Such a beautiful, happy family. It is ridiculous how good you look, Corrie! :-) I trust you are enjoying the blissful madness that three brings.

I love Clare's look at Pippi on the little scooter thing...that's a great pic! I remember Halloween in Michigan when you had to choose a costume that could fit extra layers of clothing underneath to stay warm. :)
