Introducing...

Our Son...

Myles Patrick Hillary
October 12, 2013

6 lbs. 15 oz.
19 inches

"Merciful and Gracious"

We went back and forth and back again when trying to decide on a boy's name.  We settled on two other names before Myles, and then Phil found this while looking on a website for "German baby names."  We both have German heritage, but it was the meaning of the name that struck us more than the origin.  Myles means merciful and gracious, and that just resonated with both of us immediately.  Patrick is the middle name of Phil's brother, Brian, who is Myles' Godfather.  It is also the male derivative of Patricia, which is the name of Corrie's mom.
We are already in love with our little Myles Patrick!

Friday Night Fishing

I never really imagined being a part of a fishing family.  Even though I grew up on a lake, I didn't grow up fishing.  I happily married into this equation,
and our little ones come by it genetically.

We went out on our lake on Friday night and enjoyed a beautiful evening on the water.

The kids LOVE being on the boat, Phil loves having a fishing pole in hand, and I love being with my family and away from every other distraction.

We capture the best smiles out on the boat.

A beautiful October evening in Florida.

Daddy's Little Protege

Daddy's #1 Fan

Daddy's Little Shadow

Buds

As mentioned in other fishing posts, the highlight for the kids is snack time.
Clare decided to use my legs as a table...naturally, right?!

This was the biggest (okay...ONLY) catch of the night.

Clare spotted the cross in the sky.

Isaac kept saying, "FASTER, Daddy...FASTER!"

This is how Mama goes fishing: sit back, watch your family, and RELAX!

We started heading in as the sun went down.

Perfect way to spend a Friday evening.

Trike-A-Thon 2013

Clare participated in her second annual Trike-A-Thon this morning.
This is her school's main fundraiser of the year, and the kids LOVE it!

They all got shirts that said, "That's How We Roll."

I kind of looked like I could roll right out of there at 38 weeks pregnant!

Just another snapshot of that sweet face!

Daddy was the photographer, and we laughed at the thought of at least another four years of the Trike-A-Thon (factoring Isaac and Quatro).

Moments after the announcement that it was time for POPSICLES!

SO EXCITING!

This was after last year's Trike-A-Thon.
Oh, what a year can bring!

Rewind to AUGUST

We're almost through the month of September, and I keep staring at the hundreds of pictures that were taken during our Michigan trip this summer.  Here are some highlights from August:

National Baby Food Festival Parade

The loot (minus the really good stuff that a pregnant Mommy may have stolen from the pile) from our small-town parade.

MANY hours on the trampoline!

Many hours in the LAKE!

Many hours with Mema and Papa!

Fun with Ninnie!

Special time with family!
Despite Isaac's look, he loved being pushed on the swing.

Celebrating Phil's Birthday!

Enjoying a Hillary weekend with the family at the cottage in Glennie.

Grandma and Grandpa with their nine GRANDkids!

This picture always makes me smile because Isaac was in time-out, but I didn't know it.  I just thought he was sitting so nicely by the tree, so I started taking pictures of my handsome little man.  Phil quickly let me know that the little stinker was in time out.  Oops!

Double Rainbow in Glennie!

Homemade Cotton Candy with Uncle Brian!

And 578 attempts at ONE decent family picture.

The boys look a bit loopy in this one.

The girls look a bit disconnected in this one.

Getting closer...

Would have been GREAT had Isaac's hand stayed in an appropriate location.

Pretty good...with some hidden giggles.

Thought we had it...until we realized that you couldn't see Quatro in this one.

This will have to do!

My three littlest loves!
