Our anniversary was in July, BUT our cake topper was frozen in Michigan. We were anxious to give it a try, but we had to tear through the multiple layers of aluminum foil and saran wrap before we actually made it to the cake.

Our wedding cake was made of different varieties, but the top and bottom layers were carrot cake. It was designed that way so that we would celebrate with the same type of cake that we cut into on our wedding night.

We've come a long way in the last fifteen months. Little did we know that we would enjoy our anniversary cake with a munchkin in our arms. If all truth be told, we couldn't ask for more. We are both happier than we've ever been!!!

Yes, we actually fed each other the first bite. We don't want to lose our dork status!

Believe it or not, it still tasted pretty great. Nice work, Notos!

How can they make cake stay so good for so long? I wish that they could do that for TATER TOTS!
I love Tater Tots, Hannah!!! Well, happy 1 year anniversary, Hillarys(again!) I am very impressed that the cake was still edible...my mom just explained the whole eating the wedding cake on the one year anniversary thing and she said that their wedding cake wasn't in its prime, so to speak...I'm glad yours was still good! And what better anniversary gift than having a little munchkin in your arms?! Give her a kiss for me!!!
I don't know what my mom and dad's wedding cake was . . . but I know that it wasn't chocolate!!
Maybe it was made out of carmel corn, Hannah!!! Ok, Corrie, sorry that wasn't for you!!
O.K., Corrie, this isn't for you EITHER (sorry, I know it's your blog): who eats carmel corn cake?!? How would you make a cake out of it . . . and what would it look like?? Carmel corn . . .what made you think of that?!(laughing!!!)
Well I was thinking about tater tots and thought carmel corn was along the funny foods list...I don't know, never mind. Okay, we are done Corrie, I think! :)
How fun!!! I guess I imagined witnessing how cute your courtship and engagement was would be the end. But no, you continue to have such fun adventures and keep me hooked! : )
I've heard people LOVE their cakes after a year even in the freezer! I'm not going to lie...I can't remember what the middle layer was...I must've had that, because I would remember the carrot cake! : )
I fell off the earth for a good week, but I'm in Michigan and have a little more time to catch up on your fun life. : )
Just Kidding . . . we're NOT done! How many comments did we say that we would shoot for, Liz? Wasn't it like . . . a butt-load (which happens to be A LOT, so get ready, Corrie!)?
Just kidding about my just kidding . . .
