She is happy as long as she has crayons in her hands.
So...what happens when we take the crayons away???
Clare, who rarely cries, strongly protests the removal of crayons.
We learned this the HARD way at church,
and we've had a few temper tantrums at home.
Today, she decided to be resourceful.
Since she couldn't find any crayons, she grabbed a pen...
and wrote all over the walls...the closet door...and her shirt.
This is only one of the displays of her art project on the wall.
Lovely.
Thanks, Clare.
Ann...don't even ask where the mother was during all of this.

I wonder if she'll discover that lipstick is a resourceful replacement...when I was younger I did. :) haha
Trust me, Clare's mama got into her share of lipstick as well as blue toothpaste. I wish that I knew how to post pictures.
Well this wall wasn't painted yet anyway...make it a Clare Artwork Wall...she'll love it when she's older!! Simply sign her name and age under each additional entry.
Abbie eats the crayons, so she can't be left alone with them. As a result, we've avoided this situation. Can you imagine the thoughts running through her head: "Mommy and Daddy are going to love my surprise. I'm so excited to show them...!"
Look at all the things I have to look forward to! Love how you just take it in stride and laugh!
Nice job taping it down on the table! Good idea. At least she used a pen on the walls, crayon might not have looked as good.
And since I was not forbidden to ask where the mother was, where was the mother during all of this? Bathroom? Napping? Skyping with Ann? : )
