Clare Goes SOLID!

After a few nights of Clare waking up hungry, we knew that it was time to start giving her more to eat. I know that is hard to believe when you look at the size of her cheeks, but she's a growing girl...in more ways than one. Anyhow, we took advantage of the expertise of Grandma and Grandpa Hillary as our little Gerber Baby had her debut with Rice Cereal. Grandma held her arms, I held the spoon and food, Daddy held the video camera, and Grandpa held the camera. It was quite an event...all on record.
She loved it when the food entered her mouth, but she loved it even more when she spit it down her chins and neck.
It was more of a game than an actual feeding session.
By the way, we officially go through more bibs during a day than diapers.

In case you were wondering about my hairy arms, Phil had taken over at this point.

Next step is oatmeal...then you can just feed her from your own bowl...save time and money!

I can't believe she's old enough for cereal already! We needed grandparent expertise when Abbie started on cereal, too. Ahh, the circle of life!

How cute! What a fun moment for Bill and Margaret! I wish I could've seen Clare's face when she had texture for the very first time!
I was at the chiropractor's office yesterday waiting, reading a book on Ireland and they mentioned County Clare and it made me smile. :)
